Q: Do you pet sit more than one dog at a time?
A:
No
we only do one family at a time. The only time we do more than one dog at a time
is if there are multiple dogs from the same family.
Q: Is my dog locked
in a room all day when you pet sit?
A: No we try to make the experience as fun and stress free as possible. Your
baby will spend most of his/her day walking, exploring or playing outside. As we
stated earlier we are firm believers in the "Power of the Walk" so if your dog's
up for it there are always
adventures to embark on. A tired dog is a happy dog!
Q: Will my dog be put in a kennel or cage at night?
A: No we are a kennel and cage free environment. The only time a
crate would be used is if your dog is crate trained and
you want him/her in the crate at night.
Q: What do you do if you are hired to dog walk and it's inclement
weather?
A: That is up to you. As long as it is not dangerous to walker or
dog we can walk. It depends on what makes your dog happy. Some dogs
HATE walking in the rain. If that is the case we can entertain the
dog in other ways ie: playing, grooming, petting. The other option
is a cancellation for that day.
Q: What do you do if it's really hot?
A: There are a lot of factors to consider when it comes to a hot day
and walking. Your dog's age, breed, coat length and fitness level
are key in determining when hot becomes too hot.
Q: What should I bring with me when I drop my dog off for pet
sitting?
|
A: All
dog's must have a collar with identification securely
attached. You must also provide your dog's food and bowl. We
also recommend bringing the following items to maximize your
dog's comfort:
*a dog
bed (if they sleep in one at home)
*food and water
bowls
* favorite toy (but not one that is irreplaceable)
* an article of clothing that smells like you
*any favorite treats
Q:
What documents will I need to bring with me for pet sitting?
A: All dog's must have proof of current up to date
vaccinations in order to be boarded.
Q: My
dog has fear/aggression issues can he/she still be pet sit?
A: If your dog has issues we recommend meeting the dog
before hand in a free in home evaluation. Jennifer is a
certified master dog trainer, so behavior issues ie: fear
aggression, food aggression are not a problem as long as you
the owner are willing to allow Jennifer to work
with your dog. We do reserve the right to turn down any dogs
that we do not see fit for our environment.
Q:
How old does my dog have to be to be trained?
A: We usually start a dog around 6 months depending on the
breed and temperament of the dog.
Q: Is my adult dog too old to train?
A: The old saying "It's never too late to learn" applies to
our four legged friends too!
Q:
How far in advance do I have to book for pet sitting?
A: Being that we only do one family at a time you should try
and book as early as possible. Remember the summer months
and holidays fill quickly. That does not mean that you
should not ask if you have a last minute vacation there is
always the possibility of cancellations. |
